Innovative NOx or NO2-to-NO converters enable a gas analyser , which usually measures only NO, to accurately determine the total concentration of nitrogen oxides (NOx, which is the sum of NO and NO2). They convert the existing quantity of nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust or smoke into a single form, namely nitrogen monoxide.

EASY TO INSTALL
NO2 to NO converters use a catalytic process to transform nitrogen dioxide (NO2) into nitrogen monoxide (NO). The converter consists of a ceramic monolith coated with a catalytic material. To be converted, the gases pass through small reactors filled with the catalyst. These reactors are kept at a constant temperature by a PID temperature controller , to ensure optimum operation.
To accurately measure NOX, an NDIR gas analyser that only measures NO must be equipped with an upstream NO2 to NO converter to measure both NO and NO2 values.
To effectively measure total NO2 concentrations, an NO2 to NO converter must be capable of recording at least 95% of all possible NO2 quantities expected.
Fuji Electric offers a complete range of services to support your gasanalysers applications.

Catalyst features integrated into the NO2/NO converter
Variable volume: Available in 2, 4 and 6 cm3 versions, the catalytic converter offers flexibility adapted to the specific needs of different environments and applications.
Predictive replacement cycle: The replacement cycle of around 12 months, based on standard conditions with an oxygen (O2) concentration of 5% and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) of 10 ppm, guarantees proactive maintenance.
Advanced Temperature Control
The converter is equipped with a PXE4 temperature controller offering precise adjustment to 220°C, monitored by a K-type thermocouple. This function ensures optimum temperature for the conversion process.
Quality Materials
Materials in contact with gases, such as ceramic, Viton, glass wool and SS316 stainless steel, guarantee exceptional resistance and durability, in compliance with ENI 5267 / QAL1 environmental standards.
High conversion rate
With a conversion rate of 95% or more, the NO2/NO converter meets the most stringent standards, ensuring efficient elimination of unwanted components from exhaust gases.
Optimal Sampling Conditions
The system operates at a flow rate of 0.5 l/min, guaranteeing optimal dust- and condensate-free sampling conditions at temperatures below 150°C.
Adaptability and Reliability
Powered by a 110 to 240 Vac, 50/60 Hz power source, with a consumption of around 85 VA, the Fuji Electric converter offers maximum adaptability to different industrial configurations. In addition, the temperature alarm output ensures continuous monitoring.
Compact dimensions and light weight
With dimensions of 212(H) x 148(W) x 130(D) mm and a weight of 1.2 kg, the converter is compact, making it easy to integrate into a variety of spaces and systems.
