OPC UA server and client compatibility

The Monitouch X1 display is equipped with OPC-UA Client-Server architecture. Data can therefore be collected by logging on from the computer or machine.

Even if a piece of equipment does not support the OPC UA protocol, the X1 series can be used as a gateway to transfer data to the host system's OPC UA clients.

The OPC UA protocol enables data to be shared between production sites and the host system, and facilitates equipment standardization.

On the X1 series, the "System Configurator" function lets you install applications and configure Windows.

Thanks to System Configurator, you can launch Windows applications and easily switch between them from the HMI screen, without ever displaying the Windows home screen.

The X1 series combines the power of a Windows PCI (industrial PC) with the in-depth control of an HMI interface.

Windows applications can be used freely on production sites. Once the engineering tools for production machines have been installed on the X1 series, you can modify and monitor the program using the X1 series, without having to bring a PC to the production site.

The X1 Series is equipped with a standard web browser, accessible from any application or IT system.

With vector images, you can create high-quality custom screens by enlarging/reducing certain elements without losing the sharpness of the image.

Two screens can be used simultaneously, with independent display and operation.

The display can also be duplicated on a large external monitor. Each screen can be oriented in landscape or portrait mode.

This means they adapt perfectly to the environment and space available on site.

ANDON monitor display

Equipment operating status, production plans or results can be displayed on an Andon monitor (large screen) connected via an HDMI cable.

A computer is not required for the Andon display; the X1 alone can display and operate as an HMI, and link information to an Andon monitor.

Application alignment

You can align active applications at the touch of a button, without touching the keyboard or mouse.

This feature lets you switch easily from one application window to another, and improves system functionality.

Extend display to an external screen

For better visibility, when several pieces of information need to be checked simultaneously, an external screen can be added to display more data.

The touch option is available on external screens, by connecting a touch switch, via a USB cable.

An X1 series unit can be used for HMI display and equivalent two-unit operation.
