Seamless technical communication
Configuration tools and software with HART® communication protocol are devices and computer programs used to configure and maintain industrial measuring instruments that use the HART® (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) protocol. The HART® protocol is a communication protocol widely used in industry for the transmission of real-time measurement data between measurement and control instruments, such as sensors and actuators, and centralized control equipment, such as computers or programmable logic controllers. HART® configuration tools and software enable industry professionals to receive and display measurement data transmitted by these instruments and to calibrate them. They can also be used to detect and diagnose potential problems during communication between instruments and centralized control equipment.

Fuji Electric France offers you communication tools and HART software for configuring and monitoring your pressure transmitters HART®, temperature transmitters HART®, oxygen analyzer, HART electromagnetic flow meters and other HART sensors.

Our team of experienced technicians is here to assist you with the commissioning of your measuring instruments.

The HART® (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) communication protocol, also known as the HART protocol, is a communication protocol used in industrial process control systems.
It has been developed to enable bidirectional communication between measurement and control instruments, such as sensors and actuators, and centralized control equipment such as computers or PLCs.

The HART 4-20mA protocol uses a data superimposition technique over a standard transmission line, allowing it to transmit both digital data and 4-20mA analog signals over a single cable. It is often used in applications where it is necessary to transmit accurate, real-time measurement data, such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and other industrial process parameters. The latest version of the software available is the HART 7 protocol.

To connect an instrument with HART® communication protocol, follow the steps below:
Check that the instrument and the central control or configuration equipment are compatible with the HART® protocol.
Install and configure the HART® communication cable. The HART® communication cable is usually a standard twisted-pair cable. A load resistor may be required in the current loop.
Connect one end of the HART® communication cable to the HART® instrument and the other end to the configuration device, a HART modem or a HART pocket.
Configure the HART® central control unit, modem or console to recognize the HART® measuring instrument and start receiving measurement data from it.
Check that the HART sensor and the HART central control unit are communicating correctly and that measurement data are being transmitted reliably.
Configure and monitor your HART sensor.
It is important to follow the instructions in the instrument and central control equipment manuals to ensure correct installation and configuration.
