Thanks to its innovative technology, the compressed air flowmeter can monitor air consumption, identify leaks and adjust compressor parameters to optimize energy efficiency.
Download the brochure to find out how to accurately measure steam, air or liquid flow with ultrasonic flowmeters.

This compressed air flow meter represents a true technological breakthrough in air flow measurement. It helps you track your compressed air consumption. Its goal is to achieve significant energy savings by identifying high-consumption systems and compressed air leaks. With its unfailing accuracy, this mass flow meter enables you to control and adjust the parameters of your air compressor. As an air flow meter, it is ideal for managing compressor operating load rates, managing the amount of air used in plants, and detecting air leaks in plants.

Energy efficiency helps control costs and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
In a factory, compressed air accounts for up to 20% of the total energy budget among industrial utilities. The demand for this gas is one of the largest sources of electricity consumption, but the cost of this energy can be controlled.
Flowmeters are used in compressed air systems to provide a measure of air flow rate. Compressed air systems typically have high leakage rates, high start-up and shut-down times, and other problems that lead to losses and therefore waste. Industrial air mass flowmeter measurement helps to identify areas of excessive use and to better manage the overall flow rate of the compressed air system.
Measuring, analyzing and communicating key plant performance indicators can therefore help raise awareness of effective practices, and thus help control costs, ensure better protection of equipment and achieve savings.

Fuji Electric flowmeters for compressed air consist of two ultrasonic sensors installed on either side of the meter inlet and outlet.
As the fluid flows, ultrasonic waves travel diagonally from the upstream sensor to the downstream sensor and back again within the pipe where the mass flow meter is located.
With one technique, the waves are "carried" by the fluid; with the other, they are "braked".
It therefore takes a different time to pass from the upstream sensor to the downstream sensor. This difference is proportional to the velocity and therefore the flow rate of the fluids.
This time delay makes it possible to detect the fluid flow velocity and calculate the volumetric flow rate based on the flow meter’s cross-sectional area and the measured flow velocity.

The number of measuring points on compressed air flowmeters must be adapted to the size and use of the system.
The FWD-A ultrasonic flowmeter is an alternative to the thermal mass flowmeter for flow measurement, as it doesn't clog up and is highly resistant to oil-contaminated compressed air. The meter even works in the presence of water droplets (dew point).
By simultaneously measuring flow rate, temperature, and pressure, this ultrasonic compressed air flow meter provides clear data on compressed air consumption and eliminates any uncertainty regarding the final measurements.

This flowmeter withstands industrial environments and vibrations.
These compressed air flowmeters are ideal for companies operating in industrial environments.
