Operators of Non-Hazardous Waste Storage Facilities (ISDND) and agricultural anaerobic digestion units, make a significant contribution to the goals of the green energy transition by converting your biogas into energy. Convert your biogas into energy, enjoy tax benefits, qualify for the Energy Efficiency Bonus (PEE), and bill for the energy you produce!

The overall potential for methanization by 2030 has been estimated at 56 GWh of primary energy in biogas production. ISDNDs, UVEs (Unités de Valorisation Énergétique) and agricultural methanization units all contribute fully to the objectives of the green energy transition.
Biogas is produced by the anaerobic digestion of recycled fermentable waste and raw materials from various types of industry.
Biogas is used to generate energy when it is burned in a boiler to produce heat, in an engine to produce electricity, in a cogeneration unit to produce heat and electricity, injected into the natural gas network (after purification), or used as a vehicle fuel (after purification).

Companies engaged in polluting activities or using polluting products must pay a global tax on polluting activities (TGAP¹). For the storage of non-hazardous products in mainland France, this amounts to €54 per tonne of waste stored.
When the operator of a non-hazardous waste landfill can prove that more than 75% of the biogas generated by the waste is recovered, the tax is reduced.
The tax is reduced to €37 per tonne.
For local authorities, the TGAP Biogas tax represents up to €3,700,000 for an average unit capable of processing 100,000 tonnes/year. This represents a saving of €1,700,000 compared with the amount of the tax without the reduction.

A new decree sets out the choice of measuring instruments. Since December 28, 2017², biogas is considered a combustible gas. As a result, the instruments used for transactional biogas measurement must comply with European Directive 2014/32/EU commonly known as MID-002. The use of measuring instruments that meet government requirements is an essential criterion for obtaining the TGAP reduction.
Ensuring the profitability of a landfill can be a challenge for local authorities. However, a number of tax incentives are available. The key is to take advantage of them and prove that the operation meets the eligibility criteria.
Note² : Decree 2001-387 of May 3, 2001 , amended, on the control of measuring instruments

The solution consists in equipping the operator's site with flow metering chains located at multiple strategic points on the site. This enables precise measurement and metering of the biogas recovered.
This enables the operator to calculate the energy efficiency of his plant.

Differential pressure and averaged Pitot tube flow meters enable continuous measurement of gas flow and monitoring of gas quality. The biogas flow meter measures mass flow. It features pressure and temperature compensation to account for the variable density of biogas and provide a standardized biogas flow rate.
Its design was developed specifically for biogas applications. The materials used are resistant to the chemical aggressiveness of biogas. The sensors are ATEX-certified for hazardous areas to ensure the highest level of installation safety.
They are available in a wide range of pipe diameters and enable the measurement of biogas flow at low pressure. They are used to< strong>measure the flow of collected, utilized, or flared gas.
The COF CH4 multi-channel computer enables the acquisition and display of various sensors for 1 to 6 counting channels: instantaneous flow rate and totalized volume, absolute pressure and temperature.
A biogas analyser allows you to monitor methane CH4, carbon dioxide CO2, O2 and H2S content with a single instrument.
