The Monitouch V710C, also known as the Hakko V710C, is a 10.4" industrial touchscreen designed for demanding production environments. This man-machine interface (HMI) features a high-performance color display, a precise resistive touchscreen and full serial connectivity (RS-232C, RS-422/485), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of PLCs. The V710C supports several types of communication (1:1, 1:n, n:1) and allows external storage via CF card for recipes and production data. In the Monitouch human-machine interface (HMI) range, the V710C and V710SD models differ in several technical respects. Both are 10.4" industrial touchscreens designed for panel integration in automated environments, but their datasheet meet different needs.

The V710C offers VGA (640 × 480) resolution with a 128-level color TFT display, suitable for simple or standard applications. It is mainly used for basic visualization, with CF storage and serial connectivity only, without Ethernet connectivity.

The V710SD, on the other hand, moves up a gear with SVGA resolution (800 × 600) and a 32,768-color display, offering far better readability. It includes an Ethernet port as standard, extending the possibilities of industrial communication. In addition, it is compatible with advanced features such as remote supervision, more detailed alarm management and enhanced graphics capabilities for complex applications.

In short, the V710SD is aimed at industrial users requiring a more powerful, better-connected and visually richer HMI interface, while the V710C remains a simpler, more economical solution, suitable for installations not requiring advanced network or graphics upgrades.

The Monitouch V710C man-machine interface is coming to the end of its life cycle, but Fuji Electric is ensuring a simple and effective transition with its Monitouch V1010 replacement model. Fully compatible, this reference allows existing panel cut-outs to be retained, and cables to be reused with standard adapters.

This new model incorporates major technical improvements over the Hakko V710C :

- SVGA (800 × 600) display with 16.7 million colors, previously 640 × 480 and 32,768 colors
- Expanded memory and support for SD/SDHC/SDXC cards or USB memory sticks, replacing CF cards
