We will communicate our CSR sourcing guidelines (established in 2020) to our business partners and conduct educational activities to minimize environmental impacts. We will also implement 3R systems in collaboration with our business partners.

Fuji Electric's corporate philosophy revolves around a mission to contribute to prosperity, encourage creativity and seek harmony with the environment, while the company's management policies focus on the notion of contributing to society through its activities in the fields of energy and the environment. This is in line with the international community's efforts to integrate economic, social and environmental improvements to achieve the SDGs.
By putting this corporate philosophy and management policies into practice on the basis of its Code of Conduct, which sets out guidelines for employee conduct, Fuji Electric and its employees, as well as customers and business partners, will aim to solve social and environmental problems, create value for customers, contribute to achieving the SDGs and creating a responsible and sustainable society.
We have set up the SDO Promotion Committee to deliberate, decide and evaluate the promotion of the SDOs at management level. We identify, from an SDO perspective, the key issues as well as the risks and opportunities for our company, integrate them into our strategies and evaluate our efforts to implement them. Our environmental efforts are focused on achieving our Environmental Vision 2050, which is primarily aimed at creating a decarbonized society, and our social efforts prioritize the promotion of human rights and the development of human resources. We have set up sub-committees dedicated to each topic to deliberate on our policies and strategies, and to oversee and evaluate our efforts. The content of the committee's discussions is reported to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, for deliberation.
By assessing the link between the value created by the four activities developed by our five segments and contributions to achieving the SDGs, Fuji Electric has selected five priority objectives. In addition, four further objectives were designated as priorities in terms of strengthening the operational foundations to be pursued through the company's global activities, making a total of nine objectives.

Fuji Electric focuses on R&D activities aimed at creating competitive components and systems centered on power semiconductor and power electronics technologies, as well as activities aimed at developing solutions that produce value for customers by combining core technologies. The company has designed its R&D system to accelerate R&D activities by delegating product development functions to the respective business groups, while the corporate R&D group handles technology commercialization, advanced research and fundamental research.

Supplier selection
Our procurement activities are based on open and impartial trade. Our doors are always open to new partnerships with potential suppliers.
In order to guarantee our suppliers good business opportunities, we will respond to all supplier quotations and are prepared to disclose any required company information that would help future partners meet their respective business needs.
We will select suppliers objectively based on the results of our evaluations regarding product quality, cost, delivery and stability of supply.
Trust in information
Fuji Electric treats suppliers' information on products, estimates and purchasing records in the same way as it treats its own, and therefore holds it in the strictest confidence.
Request for business partners
We have set up a "Partner Hotline" system for managers and employees of Fuji Electric's business partners for the supply of materials. If a manager or employee becomes aware of an actual or suspected violation of a law or regulation or an inappropriate act by a Fuji Electric employee, the system will provide the manager or employee with a communication channel to report the matter to us.
CSR Procurement
These guidelines summarize our approach to CSR that we ask our business partners to respect and apply, as well as examples of approaches, based on the " Fuji Electric Code of Conduct " and the " Fuji Electric Purchasing Policy, by referring to documents that are intended to be used as international CSR standards, including the Code of Conduct of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), a business alliance that promotes CSR in global supply chains, as well as the "Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct" of the Japan Electrics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).
We ask you to understand and endorse these guidelines, and to share them with your supply chains, in order to promote positive CSR activities. We would also be grateful for your cooperation in any CSR self-assessments we may ask you to carry out periodically as part of these guidelines.
