As part of its efforts to combat climate change, Fuji Electric is working to reduceCO2 emissions. The company supplies equipment related to clean energy (geothermal and hydroelectric power plants), and power semiconductors, as well as energy-saving equipment and systems, such as inverters, power regulators and variable frequency drives.
In addition, Fuji Electric has introduced energy-saving equipment such as energy management systems, inverters and high-efficiency air-conditioning systems manufactured at its plants.
To combat greenhouse gases other thanCO2, measures are taken to reduce and find substitutes for gases with a high global warming potential.
In this way, the company encourages the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in production activities.
During 2021, Fuji Electric adjusted the targets set out in its Environmental Vision 2050 to meet the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreements established at COP26.
In order to revise its targets, Fuji Electric has determined the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions in fiscal 2019 (the base year for setting targets to 2030).
