Fuji Electric France History…
In early April 1995 :
The Japanese Fuji Electric Co Ltd group, specialized in the field of industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment, decided to set up a manufacturing & sales activity unit for French & European markets in the city of Clermont-Ferrand (FRANCE). The establishment of Fuji Electric in Clermont-Ferrand is mainly due to immediate availability of technical experts & important know-how for manufacture of pressure transmitters.
May 1995 :
The statutes of the new company are registered (Company Limited, with capital 30 million francs = 4,6 MEuro = 713MYen).
Early June 1995 :
The first recruitment is fulfilled (10 people). The factory construction is started and the first manufacturing equipment are installed in a temporary factory located in the vicinity of Clermont-Ferrand.
July 1995 :
Sales activity over France is started and the first pressure transmitters are manufactured.
August 1995 :
The first deliveries of pressure transmitters to customers are performed.
October 12, 1995 :
All staff of Fuji Electric France (23 people yet) move into the new factory premises (Its construction was started on June 12, 1995).
November 7, 1995 :
The factory in Clermont-Ferrand is inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Nakazato (President of Fuji Electric Group), Mr. Matsuura (Japanese ambassador in France), and numerous regional politicians.
May 1996 :
Paris Sales Office is opened.
Early December 1996 :
The first measuring cells, "heart" of the pressure transmitters, are produced industrially in Clermont- Ferrand. It has been created especially very sophisticated equipment including a clean room class 10 000.
September 1997 :
The functions of Marketing and European Sales Co-ordination, up to now handled by Fuji Electric U.K., are transferred to Fuji Electric France.
October 1997 : Fuji Electric France is certified ISO 9002, version 1994.
October 2003 : Fuji Electric France is certified ISO 9001, version 2000.
October 2009 : Fuji Electric France is certified ISO 9001, version 2008.
